The best oils are Royal Purple and Mobil 1 I use a laptop in my two Porsche. It is expensive ($ 5 or less than one quarter, and Porsche use tons of oil per change), but they last longer and are much better in the engine. Best investment you can in a car.
Porsche does not even normally go for the 3000 to an oil change. My career was everything I think, 15,000 old. I changed every 10-12 though. Not sure, Boxster, but go in the manual.
Also check the oil a thousand miles. It is quite normal and expected for high-performance vehicles, a little oil, sometimes use up to fourth means, like every 1000 miles too. To do, so do not worry unless theres oil flows out of the car, what is bad.
and their use of gasoline additives. theyre a waste of money and dont do anything really. If necessary, additives cars (maybe even in the gas are all detergents and additives in the gas) as required.

It should say in the manual, recommended type of oil on the Porsche. This is probably a summary. I've heard good things about Royal Purple, but I can really nothing wrong with oil there. They are more or less the same. So make sure you use the correct weight.
ReplyDeleteAs for additives that can be used fuel injector cleaner from time to time, like once a year. You do not need to use an octane booster if you play with time at all. The engine is tuned to run the octane specified in the manual.
You can adjust the oil in special local recycling center for the porch, and you should consider a ford, they require no additives
ReplyDeletePorsche says that with a cell phone. With the purchase of gas, Shell, Chevron, or someone like you do not need additives.

ReplyDeleteDo not use fuel additives. Buy Fuel Amoco / BP, Shell, Mobil or Phillips 66, because their fuel is configured to optimize the performance of your vehicle. Do not buy gasoline at the pump.
They say that purple is a useful thing, not yet tried myself. While you should not have the correct level of gas use by any additives.
ReplyDeleteMobil 1 is moving fast dirt. They are the elimination of zinc phosphate and oil. This prevents burning the oil to ruin the catalytic converter, which contributes to emissions. The problem is that zinc and phosphate are important to prevent wear of the engine. They lost an important class of the oil services (such as oil is good for this application). I'll look elsewhere for oil, if I put my Porsche this spring.
ReplyDeleteI recommend look at the Redline motor oil. Check the instructions for the specified action (I know you like the most thick oil as Porsche 20-50 in the summer not sure if the new hardware.) No affiliation, but the transmission oil works wonders on my car. It is a bit more expensive than the Mobil 1, however, and you will find anywhere. You've probably mail orders.
Gas additive that clean Chevron Techron injector. Everything else is snake oil. Additives are not magical. Techron does not even need to remove and clean the nozzles on an important service. Even more important is the use of recommendedGasoline octane, avoids the explosion (combustion of fuel before it to allow through) and the engine at full power.
